We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. If you're organised, detail-oriented and enjoy building strong relationships with clients, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring their financial records are accurate, up to date and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card and expense reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Liaising directly with clients to answer bookkeeping queries
- Identifying opportunities to improve clients' bookkeeping processes
- Internal credit control
- Client onboarding
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience using QuickBooks Online
- At least 2 years' bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or similar environment
- Excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
