Job Description
Medax OSCE Academy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Educator to join our growing clinical education team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for training and supporting internationally qualified nurses preparing for the NMC OSCE to gain NMC registration in the UK.
We also welcome applications from newly qualified or less experienced nurses who are passionate about education and would like to develop teaching as their career path. Candidates who demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, communication skills, and a genuine interest in becoming a Nursing Educator may be considered alongside experienced applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality NMC OSCE training to internationally qualified nurses
- Teach and demonstrate clinical skills and OSCE procedures clearly, safely, and professionally
- Prepare candidates across the required NMC OSCE stations
- Deliver training in line with current NMC OSCE standards, guidance, and marking criteria
- Conduct practical sessions, mock OSCEs, assessments, and provide constructive feedback
- Support candidates in developing their clinical knowledge, communication skills, confidence, and professional practice
- Contribute to the development and updating of training materials and learning resources
- Work collaboratively with other Nursing Educators and the academic team to maintain high standards of training
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher
- Must be NMC reigistered
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Confidence in demonstrating clinical procedures and providing learner feedback
- Genuine interest in teaching, training, and supporting internationally qualified nurses
- Able to attend and deliver in-person training sessions in Harrow, London
Desirable
- Previous OSCE training or teaching experience
- Previous experience as a Nursing Educator, Clinical Educator, Practice Educator, Nurse Trainer, or similar
- Understanding of the NMC OSCE structure, stations, and marking criteria
- Experience supporting internationally qualified nurses
Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not essential. Freshers who are keen to develop a career in nursing education are encouraged to apply and will be considered alongside other applications.
