Tram Driver Vacancies – Join Nottingham Trams!
Are you ready to be part of Nottingham’s ambition to become the UK’s Number One Tram Operator? We’re recruiting Tram Drivers who take pride in their work, enjoy driving, and are committed to delivering excellent customer service.
As a Tram Driver you will work an average of 40 hours per week, consisting of a variety of shifts over 7 days, with a minimum of 12 hours rest between shifts. Shift time vary, with the earliest currently starting at 04:57, and the latest finishing at 02:11. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional service to our customers, by maintaining the highest safety standards and being able to work under pressure.
What we’re looking for:
- Enjoy driving and able to follow instructions.
- Ability to concentrate for long periods.
- Professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
- You’ll represent the company professionally, deliver excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with passengers —especially during delays.
- You will have the ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. – especially during disruptions.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, currently working between 04:57 and 02:11.
- Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changes at short notice.
- Full driving licence held for at least 12 months with a maximum of 6 points.
- Previous professional driving experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

Application process:
We will be holding assessment days that include morning observation and psychometric tests, followed by a competency‑based interview in the afternoon. You will be invited to an assessment date when one becomes available.

Salary:
£27,532.56 rising to £32,659.50 after 9 months and £34,416.32 after 2 years
