At Blossom Tree Montessori, we are recruiting for an experienced Montessori Lead to join our warm and friendly nursery. As our Montessori Lead, you will take charge of Montessori practice across the nursery, ensuring that our environment, teaching and daily routines reflect the Montessori philosophy. You will play a key role in supporting and developing our team, helping to build confidence and knowledge through coaching, mentoring, and training.
The hours of this role are 40 hours per week – working a variety of shifts between the hours of 7:30am-6pm. If you aren't able to work these hours, please still apply as this can be discussed.

A day at Blossom would include:
- Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
- Ensuring the children are happy, settled and content.
- Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
- Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
- Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.
- Leading a team, encouraging and raising practice daily.
- Delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth running of the room.
- Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e.g. activities/planning
- Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.
- Using our nursery app "Blossom Educational" - training will be provided
- Lead the implementation of the Montessori curriculum throughout the nursery.
- Support and guide practitioners in delivering high quality Montessori experiences.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing development to staff on Montessori philosophy and practice.
- Ensure learning environments are well prepared, engaging, and reflect Montessori principles.
- Monitor the quality of Montessori teaching and provide constructive feedback to the team
- Keep up to date with Montessori best practice and share new ideas with the team.
What we would ask from you:
- A Montessori qualification is essential for this role.
- Being a positive role model to your team.
- An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working.
- Good ICT skills
We take safeguarding very seriously and a current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential.
