Esterform Packaging, a leading manufacturer of PET bottles and preforms, are currently recruiting Service Operators at their Worcestershire branch. Working as part of a team the new role of Service Operator will provide crucial support to the production line with responsibilities ranging from keeping the lines supplied with raw materials and packaging , removing finished goods to the warehouse ,machine operation and quality inspection. The roles will involve the use of POET or ride on lift trucks.Shift pattern is 2 days 0700-1900 , 2 nights 1900-0700 , 4 off. The site is 100 % no smoking or vaping.
Full training can be provided.
Duties
- Operate the moulding equipment when required, performing regular quality checks on the product, transport the finished products to the shrink wrap machines.
- To contribute to the effective handover between shifts by ensuring, as a minimum, that effective verbal communication of production issues and changes takes place with counterparts.
- Support the Shift Manager in the successful completion of their duties
- Cover other shift roles within the team as required.
- Take ownership of GMP and health and safety issues in the manufacturing area.
- Necessary Qualities
- Experience of operating blowing or injection machines an advantage.
- Experience of POET or ride on lift trucks an advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
