In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy gardens and landscapes through hands-on care and expert horticultural practices. Responsibilities
- Perform routine gardening tasks including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth.
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes with precision and safety.
- Use power tools like hedge trimmers, lawn mowers, and blowers to efficiently maintain lawns and shrubbery.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and conserve water resources.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including edging, aerating, and soil preparation to enhance garden aesthetics.
- Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases; implement appropriate treatment measures.
- Assist with growing experience by learning about different plant species, horticultural techniques, and sustainable practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, watering schedules, and water conservation techniques.
- Growing experience in gardening or horticulture environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance principles and best practices.
- Passion for gardening, landscaping, and creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with energy and enthusiasm.
