Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in kitchen environments. This role involves preparing and frying fish dishes to high standards, ensuring food safety and quality at all times. Responsibilities
- Prepare fish and related ingredients according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook fish using appropriate frying techniques, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Organise ingredients and cooking stations for efficient meal assembly
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Assist with other meal preparation tasks as required by the kitchen team
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for smooth operations
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of food handling and cooking
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Experience in meal preparation, particularly frying fish or similar seafood dishes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to learn new techniques and contribute positively to the team
