Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously during busy hours, demonstrating strong time management skills to serve guests promptly.
- Assist in setting up for special events like banquets or catering functions, ensuring all beverage needs are met seamlessly.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by monitoring guest consumption and preventing over-serving in compliance with food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or similar hospitality environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques to ensure guest safety.
- Excellent math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing time effectively during peak hours.
- Experience in the food industry or retail math is advantageous; brewing knowledge is a bonus.
