Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to cover locum sessions for an Urgent Treatment Centre. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting clinical decision-making, and enhancing service delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced nursing professionals committed to advancing their clinical skills and making a positive impact on patient outcomes. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans in a fast-paced environment. These shifts are all booked via a rota which is released up to 8 weeks in advance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Conduct Telephone triage calls
- Conduct Home visits with a supplied driver
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all clinical encounters
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a OOH or UTC setting, preferably with advanced practice qualifications
- Worked with Adastra / Emis Web (Desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative team relationships
- Relevant professional registration (e.g., NMC registration for nurses)
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current clinical practices
