Class 2 HGV Driver required working in and around the Hull area

Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for driving Jetvac Tankers, Skip Wagons and 7.5 Tonne Tippers. We are in need of general assistance from a highly motivated individual with a Class 2 Licence.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Help our team with any reactive work and emergencies
- Ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards
- Occasionally working alongside drainage engineers and groundworkers
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 Driving Licence
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prior experience with water jetting equipment is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous Jetvac experience is desirable but not necessary as we are able to provide training
- Must be able to complete general labour tasks
- Must be keen to learn and have a positive can-do attitide
There are no specific qualifications necessary for this job, however you must be willing to learn. Although this role is primarily tanker driving, you may be expected to help with groundworks, labour, all aspects of drainage and potentially ADR gas delivery services when other staff members are unavailable.
There are lots of opportunities for overtime, and you will be expected to participate in a rotating callout schedule, approximately every six weeks, for any emergency jobs for our customers. The Drain Company Hull Ltd is a reactive company so each working day can be different.
We work predominantly between 8am until 5pm, with a 24 hour callout rota including weekends and evenings. This is to be discussed in interviews as you may be asked to trial a '4 on 4 off' shift pattern which will be new to the business.
Rate of pay to be negotiated with experience
Starting pay will be £14 per hour, plus opportunities for a bonus
After training, your hourly wage will increase to £14 - £16 per hour
