Rutland Hall Hotel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to support our team to drive excellence in guest service.
Set in beautiful park lands on the shores of Rutland Water, Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa is just the perfect setting!! Our Blossoms Restaurant and Bar along with our conference and events spaces are a vibrant, popular and known for delivering exceptional dining and event experiences.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support the day-to-day operation of restaurant and conference & banqueting services, ensuring efficient, high-quality delivery across all areas.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest and client experiences across F&B department.
- Coordinate service across dining and event settings, always ensuring smooth execution and attention to detail.
- Act as a key point of contact for guests and clients, handling feedback and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations of F&B department.
- Assist in planning and delivering events, ensuring all requirements are accurately communicated and executed.
- Monitor service flow, team performance, and guest satisfaction, making proactive adjustments where needed.
- Conduct team briefings and support training, coaching, and performance management.
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate resourcing across all service areas.
- Support stock control, ordering, and waste management processes.
- Assist with financial controls, including billing accuracy, cash handling, and cost management.
- Contribute to achieving revenue targets while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Drive and create a positive sales culture, creating pockets of revenue through weekly/daily up-selling competitions and support the creation and execution of the Calendar of Events.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and accurate record keeping.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel restaurant senior role
- Solid understanding of cost-control measures to enhance financial performance.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
