Chef – The Bulls Head, Marple
The Bulls Head has recently had a big makeover, with a brand-new outdoor area for up to 100 guests, a refreshed interior, and a new indoor/outdoor space with bi-fold doors and a retractable roof.
We’re all about creating a great atmosphere with good food, great drinks, live music and friendly service. Our food is fresh, fun and a little different from your standard pub menu.
The Role
We’re looking for a Chef to join our kitchen team, working alongside our Kitchen Manager and two other chefs.
Our menu is mainly street-food inspired, including tacos, loaded fries, stone-baked pizzas, kebabs, rice bowls, salads and more. We’re looking for someone who enjoys cooking fresh food, can handle a busy service and is happy working as part of a small, friendly team.
You’ll be getting stuck into all areas of the kitchen, from prep and cooking through to keeping everything clean, organised and running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking dishes from our menu to a consistently high standard
- Working closely with the Kitchen Manager and the rest of the kitchen team
- Keeping things running smoothly during busy services
- Making sure the kitchen is clean, organised and meets food safety and hygiene standards
- Helping with stock management, ordering and keeping waste under control
- Getting involved with new dishes, specials and menu ideas
- Making sure food goes out quickly, looking great and tasting even better
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a busy pub, restaurant or hospitality kitchen and be comfortable working under pressure when things get busy.
We’d also like someone who:
- Has solid kitchen and food preparation experience
- Understands food hygiene and food safety
- Works well as part of a team
- Is reliable, organised and has a good attitude
- Can take responsibility and use their initiative
- Takes pride in sending out great food
- Enjoys bringing ideas to the table
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who fits in with the team, cares about the food they produce and wants to be part of what we’re building at The Bulls Head.
