Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of meals according to recipes and organisational standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise flavour and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
