Youth Worker - Hourly rate £10.85 - £12.71 (salary increase once attained or complete L2 Youth Work training)
In this role you will confidently lead and oversee Abbeycroft’s Teen Chill sessions resulting in positive community outcomes. To support, engage, and empower young people to reach their full potential by providing guidance, mentorship, and access to positive opportunities. This role directly contributes to the organisation’s mission by improving outcomes for young people, strengthening community wellbeing, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services. All aspects of this role require professionalism, care, friendliness and great customer interactions.

Monday evenings, 6.30-9.30pm (Bury St Edmunds)
Monday evenings, 6.00-9.00pm (Great Cornard)
Tuesday evenings, 6.00-9.00pm (Bury St Edmunds)
Thursday evenings, 6.30-9.30pm (Newmarket)
Friday evenings, 6.30-9.30pm (Brandon)
Friday evenings, 6.30-9.30pm (Mildenhall)

Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver engaging and inclusive youth activities within the communities we serve
· Support the development of new youth programmes based on local need
· Build positive relationships with young people to encourage sustained participation
· Support day-to-day delivery of youth provision, ensuring activities run effectively
· Communicating effectively with young people and engaging a positive experience
· Ensure the safety and welfare of young people by recognising, responding to, and reporting safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures
Requirements:
· Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and well-being.
· Strong commitment to safety and the well-being of others.
· Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
· Strong understanding and ability to deliver effective customer service in various scenarios
· Ability to cover sessions and where required to avoid disruptions where possible
· Hold a Full UK Driving licence.
Qualifications:
· Level 2 Youth Work qualification (desirable)
· First Aid at Work certification
· Safeguarding Training
· Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
