An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised Podiatry Surgery Administrator to join the Inner North West London Podiatric Surgery Service , based at Charing Cross Hospital .
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team, providing high-quality administrative support to a busy specialist podiatric surgery service. As the first point of contact for many patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth coordination of patient pathways and delivering an excellent patient experience.
You will be responsible for managing referrals, coordinating clinic appointments, maintaining waiting lists and supporting the clinical team with a wide range of administrative duties. Working closely with clinicians, patients, carers and healthcare professionals, you will ensure that information is communicated accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
This role would suit an individual with excellent organisational and communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering an efficient and compassionate service.
As a Podiatry Surgery Administrator, you will:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Inner North West London Podiatric Surgery Service.
Process and register new patient referrals accurately and efficiently.
Coordinate clinic appointments, manage clinic schedules and maintain patient waiting lists.
Communicate appointment information and service updates to patients, carers and healthcare professionals in a professional and timely manner.
Identify and escalate urgent referrals or patient concerns to the appropriate clinical teams.
Respond promptly to telephone enquiries, emails and other correspondence, ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times.
Maintain accurate electronic patient records and administrative systems in accordance with Trust policies and data protection requirements.
Support clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team by undertaking a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the service.
Prioritise and manage your workload independently, using initiative to resolve routine issues and escalate more complex matters where appropriate.
Contribute to a well-organised, responsive and patient-centred service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
