Overview
General Assistant to work in new Community Training Café – must be enthusiastic and energetic, love young people (and dogs!), be a really flexible team player and hard worker with loads of imagination. Working with the Cafe Cook the job entails simple food prep (training given), waiting on tables, preparing drinks, washing up and cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving simple meal, snacks and drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support our young people as they learn the ropes of the hospitality industry
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high-quality food standards and enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements
- This is a new venture offering hospitality training to young people - a calm and empathetic disposition is essential
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or café setting desirable
- understanding of (and commitment to) high food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to act as strong role model to young trainees
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
