Senior Hairdresser / Assistant Manager – Full Time
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Hairdresser to join our busy, friendly salon as a permanent contract. Our current manager will be going on maternity leave, so we’re looking for someone ready to step into a leadership role and become a long-term member of our team.
Hours
- Minimum 35 hours per week
- Saturdays required (salon closes at 2:30pm on Saturdays)
Essential Requirements
- Over 5 years’ salon experience
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Hairdressing
- Confident in all aspects of hairdressing, including:
- Foils
- Balayage
- Colouring
- Cutting all hair lengths
- Perming
- Hair extensions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced salon
Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the salon
- Leading, motivating and directing the team
- Stock ordering and stock control
- Training and mentoring junior stylists
- Handling customer queries and complaints professionally
- Maintaining high standards of customer care and salon presentation
