The Department of Public Health & Primary Care is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Secretary/Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre Capacity Building Team and Professor Joanne McPeake.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will manage diaries, coordinate meetings and travel, support research administration, maintain records and databases, and assist with financial and grant-related activities.
The successful applicant will have:
Proven secretarial and administrative experience.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
A proactive and flexible approach to work, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This is a part-time position available at 17 hours per week. The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2028.
Location - Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Strangeways Research Laboratory, Worts Causeway, Cambridge CB1 8RN (approx 2 miles south of city centre)
