Looking for a practical, hands-on role where your work really matters?
REAX Equipment Ltd is one of the UK's leading specialists in the inspection, servicing and maintenance of rescue, work at height and confined space safety equipment.
The equipment we service is used every day by industry to protect people working in high-risk environments. Every harness, rescue device and piece of PPE that leaves our service centre has been carefully inspected and maintained to the highest standards. In many cases, the equipment you work on could one day help save someone's life.
We're looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our growing Servicing & Maintenance Team.
You don't need previous experience servicing rescue equipment—we'll provide full training. What we're really looking for is someone with good practical or mechanical skills, excellent attention to detail and the right attitude.
What you'll be doing
Approximately 70% of your role will involve servicing and inspecting specialist rescue and PPE equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and company procedures.
In addition to servicing specialist safety equipment, you'll help keep our service centre, facilities and equipment well maintained, organised and ready for daily operation. This includes supporting general maintenance tasks, preparing equipment for training and hire, and ensuring our premises remain safe, compliant and professional at all times.
Typical duties include:
- Inspecting and servicing rescue equipment and PPE.
- Following manufacturer servicing procedures and inspection checklists.
- Recording servicing information accurately.
- Preparing hire equipment ready for customers.
- Filling and maintaining breathing apparatus.
- Receiving and dispatching deliveries and pallets.
- Managing service centre stock and consumables.
- Supporting general service centre and building maintenance.
- Assisting with the preparation of our mobile training unit.
- Occasionally delivering equipment or the mobile training unit to customer sites.
No two days are exactly the same, making this a varied and rewarding hands-on role.
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work.
- Takes pride in doing a job properly.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is mechanically minded and enjoys solving problems.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is organised and reliable.
- Is physically fit and comfortable working in a service centre environment.
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn.
