Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of our UK Optical Fibre Fusion Splicer Service Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering a positive working environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills to contribute to the centre’s success.

Responsibilities
- lead and supervise a team of service staff, providing guidance and support to achieve operational targets
- coordinate and prioritise inspections, repairs and maintenance services within the Service Centre, ensuring efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions
- foster a collaborative team environment that encourages development and high morale
- communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- previous supervisory experience gained in a service maintenance role
- knowledge and experience in electro mechanical or opto assemblies
- good verbal and written communication skills
- good planning, analytical and organisational skills
- excellent interpersonal skills to line manage a team, deal with other Company employees at all levels and customers in a professional manner
- good computer skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- to be capable of lifting and moving machines and boxes
- to be able to work to a specific time frame to ensure products are delivered to customers on time.
A recognised qualification in electronics/telecommunications is desirable but not essential.
