We are looking for someone with a consolidated experience as a made-to-measure dressmaking machinist, with strong machine sewing and overlocking skills. You must have experience as a special occasion dressmaking machinist although you will not be involved with fittings.
This position requires a high level of skill and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Strong attention to detail and precision in machining and stitching
Sew and assemble garments according to customer specifications using a sewing machine.
Utilize industrial sewing machines and other tools to craft garments with precision.
Use various sewing techniques and equipment to create high-quality garments.
Perform alterations and adjustments to garments as required.
Follow pinning and written sewing instructions accurately.
Check for defects in the finished product.
Meet production deadlines while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting efficiency and creativity.
Please note that this position requires experience as a professional dressmaking machinist. Experience working in a warehouse setting is not relevant to this role.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a dressmaking machinist, demonstrating proficiency in sewing, garment construction and assembly.
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in both machine use and sewing.
Excellent knowledge of different fabrics, their characteristics, and appropriate handling methods
Excellent time management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
