Graduate / Project Engineer – Civil & Marine Engineering

Kaymac Marine & Civil Engineering Ltd is looking for an ambitious Graduate or Project Engineer to join our Swansea-based team.

About the role
Reporting to our senior project leaders, you will support qualified engineers and operational teams in the safe and successful delivery of a wide range of marine and water-based construction projects.
The role combines office and site-based engineering, giving you exposure to the full project lifecycle—from tender and planning through to construction and completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of civil and marine engineering projects
- Assisting with project programmes, method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation
- Working closely with site teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Monitoring progress, quality, safety and environmental requirements
- Supporting commercial and procurement activities
- Assisting with site surveys, engineering solutions and temporary works
- Maintaining accurate project records and preparing progress reports
- Building strong, professional relationships with clients
- Travelling to project sites throughout the UK when required
About you
We are looking for someone who is motivated, practical and keen to develop within a specialist contracting environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree or MSc in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Graduate-level experience or previous experience as a Project Engineer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Confidence working with clients, project teams and site-based personnel
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project would be advantageous
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence
- A willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally when projects require it
