Head of Ventilation
Chester
£60,000–£75,000 per annum, depending on experience

We’re recruiting for an experienced Head of Ventilation to lead the technical and commercial delivery of ventilation projects across a growing building services business.
This is an office-based role in Chester, with site visits required. You’ll take ownership of ventilation design, specification, estimating and tendering across commercial and industrial projects.
Head of Ventilation – The Role
- Lead the design and pricing of commercial and industrial ventilation systems
- Manage tenders, quotations, cost estimates and technical submissions
- Review architectural, structural and M&E drawings
- Specify ventilation equipment, ductwork, controls and associated plant
- Identify risks, design improvements and value-engineering opportunities
- Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE guidance
- Work closely with Projects, Service and Pre-Construction teams
- Support projects through installation and commissioning
- Build relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Develop internal design and estimating processes
Head of Ventilation – Systems
You’ll need strong design experience across:
- Ductwork and air distribution
- Mechanical extract and supply systems
- MVHR systems
- Commercial kitchen extract
- Air handling and associated plant
Head of Ventilation – What We’re Looking For
- Proven ventilation design experience
- Strong estimating, pricing and tendering knowledge
- Commercial and industrial project experience
- Knowledge of current ventilation regulations and industry standards
- Experience using ventilation or ductwork design software
- Ability to lead and develop technical staff
- Strong client and contractor communication skills
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualification preferred
