We’re looking for a hardworking and dependable Kitchen Assistant / Prep Chef to become an integral part of our award-winning kitchen team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same. You’ll spend much of your time preparing fresh ingredients and supporting the chefs with daily mise en place, while helping to maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with typical working hours of 9:00am–3:00pm. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is essential to support the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing fresh vegetables, salads, sauces, garnishes and daily mise en place
- Supporting the chefs with food preparation and daily production
- Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and organisation
- Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment throughout the day
- Operating the dishwasher and maintaining clean and organised work areas
- Carrying out general kitchen porter duties to ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe and efficient
- Completing daily and weekly cleaning schedules
- Following all food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures
- Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever needed to deliver exceptional food and service
