Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
- Serve food items to customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, tables, and equipment, following food safety guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and provide correct change.
- Replenish stock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Assist in setting up the dining area before service hours and clearing tables after peak times.
- Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and respond to any enquiries or special requests.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or waitress is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is essential to ensure hygiene compliance.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience in serving food and beverages efficiently in a busy environment is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
