Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently picking and packing materials within the warehouse, operating forklifts safely, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving operations. You will also support in any other function required by the warehouse manager. Your proactive approach will help maintain a well-organized, safe, and productive environment where every task contributes to the overall success of our supply chain.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility
- Pick and support packing orders
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and preparing items for dispatch
- Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure machinery remains in optimal condition
- Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and proper handling techniques
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently, in house certificates are not accepted, your licence needs to be certified by a recognised body
- Mechanical knowledge or basic understanding of equipment repair is a plus
- Experience with warehouse management systems or similar inventory software is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
