The CAA / EASA ATPL syllabus of Theoretical Knowledge is an integral part of the course leading to issue of an ATPL license. The course includes a minimum of 750 hours of instruction, delivered in accordance with the CAA / EASA ratified training manual(s) along with 13 formal exams set by the CAA / EASA and assessments under Area 100 KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Attitude).
- To teach a range of CAA/EASA ATPL subjects
- To prepare and update CAA/EASA ATPL course materials in accordance with the latest syllabus, making changes in anticipation of future syllabus changes
- To prepare, invigilate and moderate appropriate CAA/EASA ATPL theoretical knowledge school exams
- Success Indicators: Full compliance during audits; High trainee pass rates and positive feedback.
- To monitor and report on trainee progress
- To provide guidance and support to individual trainees
- To maintain accurate course records with designated Training Management System (TMS)
- To act as a course mentor and subject expert within specific subject areas
- To maintain subject knowledge in line with industry and syllabus requirements
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with trainees of different academic and language abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, carrying out assignments to successful completion
- International outlook with the ability to interact with different cultures
- Proficient at working with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- Strong organizational and customer focused skills
Teaching experience in a classroom setting essential- Proven experience within the Aviation as flight crew or engineer, or within a closely related industry to provide the ability to deliver lessons with credibility
