Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of machinery nationwide. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations, ensuring timely deliveries. Loads will be allocated based on experience but training will be provided to encourage continual career progression. The role will require nights out, usually 4-5 per week. It will also include some weekend work but reasonable notice will be given for this. Pay will depend on skill, nights out paid at £25per night, also £36per night meal allowance on a pre-paid card. It is a physically demanding job in all weathers - you will get wet and dirty! Yes, you will be driving a Big V8 so this will need to be kept clean and tidy at all times.

Responsibilities
- Operate a stepframe (Semi lowloader) to transport goods to designated locations (This will be wheeled and tracked equipment).
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of a variety of machinery, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with your line manager regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from customers.
- Keep the wagon, trailer and equipment clean.
Skills
- Strong understanding of stepframe operations and driving various types of machinery. (Desirable but not essential - training will be provided)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
- Excellent driving skills.
- Ability to navigate using maps and GPS systems effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.
- Good verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

- HGV Class 1 licence required
- CSCS/IPAF/NPORS/Loader and Securer desirable but not essential
