We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of a residential care home. In this vital role, you will inspire and supervise staff, ensure high-quality care delivery, and foster a warm, safe environment for residents. Your leadership will help create a nurturing community where seniors feel valued, respected, and supported every day.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care staff to deliver exceptional senior care in accordance with care plans and regulatory standards
- Coordinate daily activities, ensuring smooth operation of the care home and timely response to residents’ needs
- Develop, review, and update personalized care plans to reflect residents’ evolving requirements
- Foster effective communication among team members, residents, families, and external healthcare professionals
- Oversee staff training and supervision to promote best practices in care delivery and compliance with health and safety protocols
- Ensure accurate documentation of care activities, incident reports, and resident progress using IT systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality of life for residents and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation needs within the community or for outings
- Knowledge of care plans, regulatory standards, and best practices in residential eldercare
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation, scheduling, and reporting purposes
- Demonstrated caring attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with residents and their families
- Experience in managing staff schedules, training programs, and compliance documentation

Pay: £13.20 per hour
