Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques, then implement effective repair solutions promptly.
- Install, overhaul, repair, and replace mechanical components such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and water treatment equipment.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimise system performance and implement upgrades or modifications as required.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Participate in emergency repairs to minimise operational disruptions.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Service Engineer or similar role within industrial or manufacturing environments. Minimum 6 years.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and associated diagnostic tools.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised certification.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Pay: £31,200.00-£36,075.00 per year
