Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs on residential and commercial buildings
- Inspect roofs for damage and determine the best course of action for repairs
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new roofing materials
- Install or replace flashing, vents, and other roof fixtures
- Ensure roofs are properly sealed and waterproofed
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working at heights
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a roofer
- Knowledge of different roofing materials and their installation techniques
- Familiarity with roofing tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve roofing issues
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
Skills:
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate with clients
- Time management skills to complete projects within deadlines
- Ability to work at heights and follow safety protocols
