IT & Security Systems Manager (Standalone)
- Location: Sheffield
- Role Type: Full-time, Permanent
About Us
We are a fast-paced, creative marketing agency specialising in the Automotive sector. We build and deliver high-impact campaigns for our clients, and to do that reliably, our internal technology needs to be flawless, highly secure, and resilient. We operate a 100% Apple Mac environment.
The Role
We are looking for a standalone IT & Security Systems Manager to take ownership of our internal technology infrastructure and security protocols. This is a highly varied, end-to-end role where you will balance day-to-day desktop support with high-level compliance management.
Please note: You do not need to be a software programmer (although some skills in that area would be preferential) as we have experienced developers who handle our coding and system integrations. Your focus is strictly on operational uptime, hardware lifecycle, system administration, software management and robust cyber security.
Key Responsibilities
- Cyber Security & Compliance: Own and manage our annual Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. You will maintain all supporting security protocols, run routine vulnerability checks, manage password policies, and enforce strict system access controls including MDM and Apple Business Manager.
- Day-to-Day IT Support: Act as the sole point of contact for internal staff, troubleshooting day-to-day hardware, software, and connectivity problems to ensure zero downtime.
- 3rd party software and systems management and application. Jotform, Click Up and Slack are just some of the twenty five + 3rd party licenses that require oversight and management.
- Infrastructure & Systems Management: Administer and optimize the cloud and core infrastructure that powers our business processes.
- Hardware Lifecycle Management: Handle the end-to-end purchasing, staging, automated configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of all agency Apple hardware.
· Governance & Auditing: Auditing, recording, and documenting all system architectures, database changes, and data flows to ensure strict internal compliance and operational governance.
· Documentation Management: Writing and maintaining clear, plain-English technical documentation and user guides so our internal team always knows how to use and update the systems you build.
· Disaster Recovery & Policy: Managing, updating, and testing our technical Disaster Recovery Policy to ensure company data is safely backed up and can be restored quickly in an emergency.
· Security Policies: Reviewing and maintaining data protection and access-control policies across all internal systems and customer-facing apps.
About You
- The Standalone Mindset: You thrive in an independent environment. You enjoy having total ownership of an IT estate and are equally happy unboxing an iMac, liaising with colleagues and external partners and security auditors.
- Apple & M365 Specialist: Technical knowledge of macOS, Apple Business Manager, and Mosyle MDM (or equivalent).
- Compliance Track Record: Proven experience steering a business through a successful Cyber Essentials Plus audit would be preferential. A clear understanding of how to configure Macs to pass strict external vulnerability scans is essential.
- Agency Fit: You are calm under pressure, highly organized, a good communicator and you must be able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
