Duties
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and timeliness.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism and addressing client queries courteously.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience involving flatbed vehicles.
- Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures relevant to commercial vehicle operation.
- Experience in planning routes efficiently and managing time effectively during deliveries.
- Familiarity with loading, securing, and unloading goods on flatbed trucks is desirable.
- Proven track record of reliable punctuality and professional conduct on the road.
