FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with the recruitment of a Senior Structural Engineer.
Permanent position. This role will be based at the company's Sheffield office in the S11 area.
The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments, delivering drainage, highways and external works designs while supporting less-experienced engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver fully compliant drainage systems, including Sustainable Drainage Systems.
- Complete external works designs and establish appropriate site levels for residential and commercial developments.
- Prepare highway designs incorporating vertical and horizontal geometry.
- Deliver highways and drainage designs to adoptable standards, including Sections 38, 104, 185 and 278.
- Produce accurate technical drawings and infrastructure designs using specialist engineering software.
- Prepare technical schedules and supporting project documentation.
- Represent the consultancy at meetings with clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Ensure project work is completed within agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Make appropriate technical and design decisions throughout each project.
- Communicate important design decisions and project developments to the company's Directors.
- Coordinate effectively with other engineers and members of the wider project team.
- Keep relevant colleagues informed of client requirements and project developments.
- Mentor and support Graduate Engineers where required.
- Participate in continued professional development, technical training and self-directed learning.
- Work towards Chartered Engineer status where applicable.
Skills & Experience:
- At least three years' experience working within infrastructure or civil engineering design.
- Strong residential infrastructure design experience.
- Proven experience designing drainage and highway schemes to adoptable standards is preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or an equivalent discipline is preferred.
- Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers is preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
