Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of building & maintenance tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of commercial maintenance projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work across various trades, fostering growth and mastery in multiple aspects of construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform diverse construction tasks including carpentry, masonry, roofing, and painting to support project needs
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out building activities
- Assist with plumbing and electrical installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Fabricate and modify materials on-site to meet project specifications using welding and fabrication techniques
- Conduct site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed and work progresses according to schedule
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, properly storing tools and materials after use
Requirements
- Proven experience in general construction work with knowledge spanning carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and painting
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for various building tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations in construction environments
- Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and learning new skills
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are a plus but not mandatory
