Due to continued growth and demand, we are looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our skilled and friendly team. About the Role
As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a key role in the manufacture of bespoke TV scenery and set pieces. Working predominantly with light gauge steel and box section, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components from technical drawings and specifications.
Reporting to the Workshop Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating and welding bespoke metalwork for television and exhibition projects.
- Working from technical drawings to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Using a range of workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensuring all work is completed to agreed quality standards and project deadlines.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Occasionally assisting with on-site installations and project work when required.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Fabricator/Welder.
- NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience operating Kingsland punches, guillotines, cold-cut saws, and band saws.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work overtime when required.
- Creative approach to problem-solving and fabrication challenges.
Desirable
- Experience working within the TV, film, exhibition, or creative industries.
- Full UK driving licence.
Regular overtime is available and expected during busy periods:
- Time and a half paid after 40 hours worked
- Double time paid on Sundays
