The Senior Care Assistant will be responsiblefor working alongside the care team (supervising care staff and working as a senior carer) for assisting patients with daily living needs, including helping with bathing and basic grooming and assistance with medication. The role requires a high degree of empathy and compassion, and the balancing of practical care alongside emotional support for patients. A successful candidate will be able to take emotional cues from patients and respond in a helpful and friendly manner, as well as simply providing daily tasks for patients to complete.
The senior care assistant will work alongside the registered manager and will essentially run the care floor and supervise care staff
Responsibilities:
- Have a caring attitude.
- Listen to patient concerns.
- Follow the doctor's orders.
- Assist with daily activities such as showering and dressing.
- Manage infection control standards.
- Administer medication
- Assist in the running of the home
We are looking for someone to work 4 longs days - 8am - 8pm
Desirable
Medication competent and certificate
Experience working as a senior carer in nursing/care home
