Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner/Laundry Assistant to join our team on weekdays (3/4days ) at our residential care home. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and supporting the smooth operation of laundry services for residents. The successful candidate will help ensure residents live in a clean, safe and comfortable environment while working as part of a supportive care team.
Responsibilities
- Clean Residents Bedrooms , Bathrooms and communal areas to high standards
- Vaccum Mop dust and disinfect all allocated areas daily
- Ensure all areas are clean , tidy and well presented throughout the day
- Using Cleaning Chemicals and equipment's safely in accordance with COSHH guidelines
- Ensure all laundry is processed according to infection control and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and storage areas
- Operate laundry equipment including washing, drying and folding residents’ clothes, bedding and towels
- Label and organise residents’ clothing appropriately
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to management
- Support the care home team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residentsExperience
- Previous experience in cleaning or laundry work is desirable but not essential (Full Training will be Provided )
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards in a care setting is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual, particularly for weekend shifts
- Compassionate attitude and respect for residents living in the home
