We're looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our busy, food-led pub on the stunning North Norfolk coast.
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading and developing a talented team, maintaining exceptional food standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service. You'll play a key role in shaping our food offering, delivering dishes that keep guests coming back while helping drive the continued success of the business.
You'll be a hands-on leader with a passion for fresh, quality ingredients, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to inspire those around you. Responsibilities
- Leading from the front and creating a positive, motivated kitchen culture.
- Delivering consistently high-quality food and maintaining excellent presentation standards.
- Managing, training and developing the kitchen team to help them reach their full potential.
- Overseeing kitchen rotas, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Managing food costs, wastage and gross profit margins to ensure commercial success.
- Working closely with the General Manager to deliver an outstanding overall guest experience.
- Developing seasonal menus and contributing fresh ideas to keep the offer exciting and relevant.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen compliance.
- Ensuring smooth service during busy periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Identifying opportunities to improve kitchen operations, efficiency and team performance.

- Has a strong understanding of stock control, food cost management and kitchen finances.
- Maintains exceptionally high standards and takes pride in every dish leaving the pass.
- Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Stays calm under pressure and can adapt quickly when challenges arise.
- Is always looking for ways to improve, innovate and drive the kitchen forward.
