This is a volunteering position until the completion of the We Make Footballers Coaching programme. This online course will take around 3-5 hours.

Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated Football Coach to join our Tuesday evening , Wednesday evening, and Saturday morning team. Our midweek sessions are between 5:30PM - 6:30PM, and Saturdays are 11:00AM-12:00PM. However, coaches need to arrive 30 minutes before the session to allow set up time and to be ready to welcome parents and children when the session begins. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and develop players of all abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead coaches.
- Knowing exactly what needs to be set up before each session to make them run smoothly.
- Focus on skill development, tactics, and fitness.
- Create a positive team environment that encourages sportsmanship and respect.
- Monitor player performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaching staff regarding progress and expectations.
- In the event that the Academy Manager is away - you will be expected to carry some of the equipment in your car, and bring it to the sessions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in football.
- Full driving license.
- Strong teaching skills with ages 4-12 Year olds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with players of varying ages.
- A deep understanding of football techniques, tactics, and rules of the game.
- Relevant coaching qualifications - Introduction to coaching/Level 1.
- Enhanced DBS
- Safeguarding with children in football
