Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring that items are handled with care.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong commercial driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., van driver).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to road regulations.
