We operate a specialty pop-up coffee bar (Pop-Up Coffee Bar) and office based cafe (There Goes Coffee) under There Goes Ltd. We bring quality coffee experiences to events, exhibitions, and corporate occasions across the UK, as well as running our café at Centre City Tower in Birmingham. We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable all-rounder to join us as our Events Assistant & Barista — someone equally at home behind an espresso machine in the café as they are loading a van at 6am for an event.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position that splits your time between our Birmingham café base and off-site events across the UK. You'll be a key part of a small, close-knit team — working directly alongside the Managing Director in running and growing the events business, and alongside the Café Operations Lead in the day-to-day running of the café. No two weeks will look the same.
The role is primarily based at Centre City Tower, Birmingham, with regular travel to events as required. You'll be compensated for travel costs, accommodation, and a food allowance on event days away from base.
Hours: Flexible, typically starting early and finishing around 3pm. Hours will vary week to week depending on the events schedule — some weeks will be busier and require more hours, while quieter weeks may involve fewer. Part of this role involves helping to shape and manage that schedule.
Salary: Competitive — to be discussed at interview
