We're looking for a reliable, motivated and physically capable person for a role that combines physical work, team work and travel.
About Us
Britannia Lanes is a family owned and operated removals and storage company, operating for over 50 years and now under the care of the third generation of the same family. We specialise in domestic UK and international removals and storage and we aim to provide a smooth and efficient service for our customers.
Duties
- Travelling nationwide with our removal crews, working alongside one driver on a modern truck
- Assisting with the safe loading, unloading and handling of household furniture and belongings
- Packing and wrapping items securely to ensure safe transit (full training provided)
- Helping with the assembly and disassembly of furniture as required
- Supporting the driver with daily tasks and customer communication
- Contributing to the maintenance of a clean and organised workspace, both on-site and in company vehicles
- Being friendly and helpful with customers throughout the move
Requirements
- Physical fitness and a good work ethic
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- A professional demeanour and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work away from home 2–4 nights per week (Monday to Friday, daytime hours)
- No driving licence required
Things to note
- Night out subsistence paid for each night working away from home
- 5 day working week, Monday to Friday, weekends free unless overtime is available
