Vacancy Job Title: Drivers Mate/Porter/Labourer/Trainee Furniture Restorer - General Job Purpose: Heavy lifting and loading so need to be physically fit and able - To provide an efficient and effective support service to all members of the discipline. Possible Duties: The job holder may be required to perform tasks outside the scope of this list depending on circumstances. Reports To: Lisa and Lee Cannings General Duties: Wrapping furniture, assisting with loading and unloading of goods. As well as working on site at client’s premises with Supervisor and help deliver/collect items from client’s premises. All other duties as and when required. Other Duties Sanding: To lightly sand by hand furniture in order to prepare same for polishing. Stripping: To apply stripper/chemicals and remove polish via wire wool/blades in order to prepare same for polishing. Iron Work: To rub down, wire wool and apply iron paste for preparation of wrought iron work. Visitors: To greet clients in an appropriate manner and to promptly inform staff members that visitors have arrived Refreshments: To support/help with tea/coffee rota’s 3 times day. To sweep up and tidy up maintaining the factory, workshop, staff room, toilets and kitchen Health & Safety: To be responsible and to co-operate with supervisors and managers to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and to take reasonable care of themselves and others.
