Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and motivated Drainage CCTV Assistants to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the inspection and maintenance of drainage systems by assisting with CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) surveys, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and helping to identify potential issues within underground drainage networks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in drainage inspection, mechanical systems, and equipment operation while contributing to vital infrastructure maintenance. No prior experience is necessary, but a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and operation of CCTV inspection equipment used to survey drainage systems.
- Support the team in navigating access points and preparing sites for inspections.
- Handle hand tools, power tools, and mechanical components safely and efficiently during inspections and minor repairs.
- Aid in the use of electrical and mechanical tools, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Help identify potential blockages, damages, or defects within drainage pipes by observing CCTV footage.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, equipment usage, and site conditions throughout each project.
- Support team members with general site duties, including cleaning, organizing tools, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn technical skills related to CCTV operation, drainage systems, and equipment handling.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical components is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge or electrical experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to follow safety instructions diligently and work in confined or challenging environments.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting equipment or working in outdoor conditions.
