We're currently looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy Aftersales team in Aldershot.
About the Role
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £32,600 - £34,200 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Bonus: Performance-related bonus of up to £1,720 per annum
Hours: 46.25 hours per week
Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am - 1:00pm
As a Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers throughout their service and repair journey. You'll play a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer experience by coordinating workshop activity, keeping customers informed and ensuring every vehicle is returned efficiently and professionally.
Working closely with our Workshop Controllers, Technicians and Parts Department, you'll help ensure our customers receive the high standards of service expected from Mercedes-Benz and Rossetts Commercials.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers professionally both in person and over the telephone.
- Book vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work into the workshop.
- Accurately prepare and manage repair orders using the dealership management system.
- Carry out vehicle check-in procedures, including recording vehicle condition and customer requirements.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and provide regular updates.
- Obtain customer authorisation for any additional work required.
- Liaise with Technicians, Workshop Controllers and the Parts Department to ensure repairs progress efficiently.
- Arrange vehicle collections, deliveries and customer handovers.
- Explain completed work and recommend future maintenance requirements where appropriate.
- Ensure all workshop documentation is accurate and complete to support efficient invoicing.
- Review vehicle service history and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
- Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Service Department.
- Assist with the administration of our 24-hour breakdown service where required.
About You
To be successful in this role you'll have:
Essential
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor within a motor dealership.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT and administration skills.
- The ability to prioritise work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- A positive, professional and team-focused attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Kerridge / Keyloop experience.
- Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle experience.
- Knowledge of warranty processes and dealership systems.
