Paving Stone Production Operative – Yard Operative
Location: On-site at Hallen, BS10
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, paid weekly
Hours: 39 hours per week

Shift Pattern
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Yard Operative to join our busy paving stone production team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the manufacture of high-quality paving products. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment, helping to ensure products are made safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
The role involves both indoor and outdoor work and may involve working in dusty, dirty, and physically demanding conditions. Full PPE and safety equipment will be provided.
Please note: Due to the site location, applicants must have their own transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the production and manufacture of paving stones and other paving products
- Support the smooth and efficient running of the production process
- Work closely with the Team Leader and other production operatives
- Move and handle materials safely around the site
- Carry out general housekeeping and site maintenance duties
- Clean machinery, equipment, and work areas as required
- Carry out basic equipment and machinery checks
- Identify and report faults, defects, or safety concerns
- Follow all company and site health and safety procedures
- Help the team meet daily production targets
Daily Duties
- Complete allocated production tasks safely and efficiently
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised
- Assist with routine equipment inspections and maintenance
- Report any problems, delays, or issues to the Team Leader
- Support colleagues across the production and yard areas
- Ensure materials and equipment are handled safely and correctly

- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive, willing to learn, and keen to develop new skills
- Safety-conscious with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in an outdoor and industrial environment
- Having your own transport would be helpful due to the location.
Requirements
- Own transport (car or motorbike) is essential
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, construction, paving, or a similar environment is beneficial but not essential
- Full right to work in the UK
