At Brethertons, it is the people that matter the most. We have a really strong set of values that we all demonstrate, we have a collaborative and cohesive culture, with a results driven customer centric delivery of legal services that we are proud of.
We have created a streamlined organisation, we aim to foster an environment of choice with clear career development paths, a focus on learning and development and a highly supportive structure.
About the Role
As a Paralegal within our Wills, Trusts and Probate team, you will play an integral role in supporting our Solicitors and helping to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.
You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks of moderate complexity, ensuring that delegated work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Working closely with the team on a daily basis, you will assist with a broad range of matters, including client communications, responding to new enquiries, drafting legal documents such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, preparing applications for Grants of Representation, and supporting the progression of estate administration matters. You may also provide support to colleagues across the wider team when required. The role requires you to follow established case management processes and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and quality standards, including those set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Lexcel, and other applicable governing bodies.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, organised and motivated individual who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering high-quality client service. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a Paralegal within a Wills, Trusts and Probate team is desirable. You will have a good understanding of private client work, including drafting Wills, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, and supporting the administration of probate matters. Whilst you will be confident in handling your own responsibilities, you will also recognise when specialist guidance is required and seek support from colleagues where appropriate. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to providing clients with professional, compassionate and practical support during often sensitive circumstances.
