Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team and drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Develop detailed project plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage project lifecycle stages in accordance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- Design and maintain databases using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational database systems; ensure data integrity and security.
- Create compelling dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to visualize key performance indicators and support strategic decisions.
- Write complex SQL queries, scripts in R or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis; utilize VBA or Bash scripting for automation tasks.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business needs into technical specifications using tools like Visio for process mapping.
- Conduct thorough analysis of large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that inform business strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of Business analysis methodologies and practices.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools including Tableau and Power BI to create interactive dashboards.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes for managing technology projects from initiation through deployment.
- Experience with programming languages such as R or Python for data analysis tasks.
- Ability to design efficient database schemas and perform database management tasks; knowledge of database design principles is essential.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
- Experience with VBA scripting for automation within Excel or other Office applications; Bash (Unix shell) scripting is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with Visio for process mapping and documentation purposes.

Pay: £127,737.79-£150,170.67 per year
