About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Surrey. This full-time, long-term position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Working closely with the school, teaching staff, and local council services, you will provide tailored support to pupils requiring additional assistance to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement individual support plans
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging positively in classroom activities
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and self-esteem
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils during break times, school activities, and educational visits where required
- Work alongside the local council and other agencies to ensure pupils receive the additional support they need
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school or similar setting
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one
- Would need to Drive for this position

Pay: £95.00-£120.00 per day
